Getting to the Show

Public Transport

By Bus: The 341 bus service between Huddersfield Bus Station and Stocksmoor via Almondbury has stops in both Farnley Tyas and on Greenside Road.
By Train: The Penistone Line. The nearest station to the Showground is Brockholes, with Honley and Stocksmoor also nearby. From both Honley and Brockholes, the walk is up a steep hill, requiring a good level of fitness.

Shuttle Bus: There will be the usual free shuttle bus service between Moor Bottom, Honley and the showground. The service will run from 9a.m to 6pm.

By Car: All entrances are off Thurstonland Road. The entrances will be clearly signposted to indicate the Public Parking. The what3words address for the main gate is ///leans.frames.frame

Parking

FREE parking at the show is on a first come, first served basis and there is limited availability. Please consider alternative ways of arriving at the showground, e.g. by bicycle or by using public transport or our shuttle bus from Honley village.

We have a dedicated band of professional helpers to keep traffic flowing and to make sure that you reach the correct car park. Please follow their instructions and make sure, if you have a car park pass, it is clearly visible to the traffic team.

Public Parking
There are different car parks for Members, those with disabilities and the public – please use your allocated car park.

Exhibitors and Traders
Details of access and parking on the Show field, including a map, are available from the Section Secretaries. All vehicles must be parked up in the relevant parking area or space no later than 9.30am on show day.

Horse exhibitors have their own signposted entrance. Please follow the instructions of the traffic team.

Times

Exhibitors and traders: The show ground will be accessible on Friday afternoon and early on Saturday morning. There will be no movement of vehicles on the show field between 9.30am and 5pm

Public: The gates will open at 9am

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on the show field, providing they are under control and on a lead. They are not permitted in certain marquees where food is located. No dogs in the Rabbit, Food Hall or Handicraft tents please.
