Longley Farm was established in 1948 when two brothers, Joseph and Edgar Dickinson, inherited a “typical Pennine farm”, starting with what was essentially a smallholding and a herd of 10 cows. Since then it has grown and developed into an internationally renowned business.
Milk comes from our own herd of 300 Jersey cows that are handled to the highest standards of animal welfare, as well as from 40 other farms around the region. Our award winning products supply a diverse range of markets from your local community shops and national retailers through to Michelin starred restaurants and chefs, such as Jamie Oliver and Raymond Blanc.
At Longley Farm we believe that good milk makes good dairy products. Our products regularly win awards because of their quality and taste, and are all made without the use of artificial additives, colourings, preservatives or stabilisers. You can try our delicious range of ice creams too, all freshly made at the dairy and sold exclusively at Longley’s Ice Cream and Coffee Shop in Holmfirth.
As a local business, community is at the heart of what we do, that’s why we’re proud to once again be involved with Honley Show. As well as sponsoring the refreshment tent, this year we will also be bringing along two of our very own Jersey calves so you can come and find out where our delicious Jersey cream comes from.
