Information for traders

Thank you for your interest in taking trade stand space at the 2010 show. Please find enclosed an Application and Risk Assessment form. All traders are required to complete the Application and Risk Assessment forms and supply a copy of your Public Liability Insurance certificate. Spaces have been snapped up really quickly over the last few years, proving the success of being at the show.

Honley Show was first held on Saturday, 27th August 1921 and since then, we have continued to grow to one of the country’s most prestigious, best attended and well respected rural agricultural shows in the country. Our Farnley Tyas showground remains one of the region’s best venues to showcase a stunning range of activities, agricultural events, stands and displays. In fact, in 2009 we had our highest ever numbers of people through the gates, all enjoying a full day’s wonderful entertainment in beautiful sunshine! Every year we try to bring something new and exciting to the thousands of visitors and this year is no different.

Trade Stands form an important feature at Honley Show, being the first sights on entry to the showground for members of the public. This year, we have moved the Trade Stand village and have an exciting new layout for the whole showfield site with the public car park being located directly opposite the trade stand village. We offer parking either within your allocated space, directly behind (for some pitches) or a large adjacent field for parking. Pitches are available normally from Thursday to allow you to set up (or Wednesday by prior arrangement). We offer a number of half price trade stands to registered charities on a first come, first served basis.
Please fill out the form and return to Katie Green, Trade Stand Secretary, as per the address on the form. Two entry passes will be issued per trade stand for pitches 6.5m2 and 6.5m x 8m. Pitches 15m2 will be issued six tickets . Additional helpers on the day will be required to pay at the gate or you may purchase before-the-day tickets separately at a cost of £6.00 (adults), £4.00 (senior citizens) and £1.00 (children).
You will receive an exhibitor’s pack with your car parking sticker, notification of your pitch number, location of pitch, entrance/exit information, exhibitors’ tickets and any tickets purchased at the beginning of June. Please complete your application as soon as possible and return to the address above. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Information for the public

Trade Stands form an important feature at Honley Show, being the first sights on entry to the showground for members of the public. We are delighted to have the support of many local and national businesses and charities, from single traders to franchisees, many returning year after year. The trade stand village has grown over the years and this year you will again be tempted by the wares of approximately 120 trade stands at the show.

All the traders are based outside, either in the trade stand village or around the showfield site and range from talented artists to suppliers of fine wines. Of course our four legged friends are catered for at our agricultural show, with expertise on hand from a local Veterinary Surgery, to animal charities and nutritionists advising all about animal care. You will also be tempted by a range of home made goods from jewellery to wooden bowls and original gift ideas. This year we have a wide range of motor traders on the showfield, from the smallest cars right up to some rather large goods vehicles – enough to keep even the biggest of kids entertained for a while! We also have a number of very worthwhile charities on the showfield.

Please do visit and support all our traders – they all contribute to the huge success of Honley Show and we are sure you will tempted by their goodies!
