Tractor Classes

Applications to exhibit at the 2018 show are now invited for tractors and horticultural implements

We have introduced some new classes this year which we hope will prove popular with tractor owners and of course, the public.

Tractors are being split in to two separate categories this year with entries open for VINTAGE TRACTORS (manufactured prior to 1st June 1978) and DAVID BROWN TRACTORS.

In the Vintage classes, prizes are awarded for the Best Restored and the Best Working tractor (any make). David Brown tractors may be entered in to the Vintage classes also, complying with the manufactured before date.

The David Brown classes are split in to 4 classes –

Pre 1956 Cropmasters; 1956 – 1965 Implematics; 1966 – 1980 Selectamatics; 1980 – 1988 90/94 series.

Prize money of £20 per class has very kindly been sponsored by Simon Blyth Estate Agents and prizes and trophies will be presented in the Main Ring in the afternoon following the parade of tractors. Judging will take place in the morning.

Entries are also invited for horticultural implements and again the prize money of £50 for 1st place and £30 for 2nd place has very kindly been sponsored by Yorkshire Mower World.  We are still particularly keen to encourage entrants in to this section as well as agricultural implements – these must be hiding out in barns up and down the country – please bring them and let the public see what has been and in some cases, is still being used to work the land!

Katie Green, Tractor Section Secretary.

Please note all trophies are perpetual, to be competed for annually, and remain the property of the Honley Show Society. Trophies must be returned on or before the day of the Show.

The entry forms, etc. can be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the file download to the right of this page.
Please send SAE for return of exhibitor passes. One exhibitor pass per entry. Additional passes may be purchased in advance at local stockists. Please see our website for more details of outlets.
