Show Jumping
The
committee of Honley Show would like to convey their sincere
condolences to the Family of Jim Skin. Jim sadly passed away
in February of this year. Jim has had a long association
with Honley Show and he will be greatly missed.
This
year Chris Maddinson of Maddinson’s Transport in Holmfirth
has generously offered to sponsor the two local jumping
classes. The prize money for each of these classes 38 &41
will be…………
1st - £30
2nd - £20
3rd - £10
Our
thanks also goes to Mrs Andrea Howells who has once again
has stepped into the breach to officiate the show jumping.
Mountain & Moorland
Unfortunately Vicky Goldsborough is unable to judge for us
this year due to commitment to her own show which is on
Sunday 11th June.
Our
judge this year will be John Elliott from the Hope Valley
Beside
the usual trophies to be won.
The
family of Jeoff Ramsden have kindly donated a trophy for the
best Welsh Cob in the show. Many of us have risen through
the showing ranks on ponies sired by Jeoff’s stallions.
Mrs
Joan Dorman of Honley has sponsored rosettes for the best
Dartmoor and Fell ponies.
Please remember to bring your passport. Horses competing
without the correct documentation will be automatically
eliminated.
