Next weekend sees one of the West Yorkshire's larger
agricultural shows, Honley at Farnley Tyas on Saturday, June
9. It may not have the length of service that many others
pride themselves on, being a mere 73 years young. But it has
built a strong reputation for bringing something for all the
family. For those who don't see the area as being as
agricultural as North
Yorkshire, there is a very pleasant surprise in the number
of cattle and sheep classes, which more than match that of
many of their more northern counterparts. It attracts a
five-figure gate too, putting it well up the list in terms
of Yorkshire's best-attended agricultural shows, so if you
haven't been before, then this is the year to put it right.
